General Assembly Executive Committee Voting

Presiding Bishop – Raymond Culpepper

1st Asst – Tim Hill

2nd Asst. Mark Williams

3rd Asst. David Griffis

Secretary General – Wallace Sibley

The moment where Wallace Sibley was elected was electric.  For the first time in history an African American was elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Church of God.

  1. Hi Travis,

Thanks for all you, Tom and others are doing to ” open” the church system with information and dialogue.

I know you guys are very busy this week, but I’m sure everyone appreciates your taking the time to post various data, analysis, etc. of the IGC, GA & Missional meetings.

I couldn’t go to San Antonio due to pressing obligations. So at least through your efforts, others can stay somewhat connected…so please keep writing, posting and upstreaming all that you can!

    Blessings,

  2. Thanks, Marc!

  3. Travis,
I can’t believe I sent you two text messages and you have not answered me back. Don’t make me come to San Antonio and school you on the microphone in front of the GA crowd.

  4. Trav:

Great having the update today. I had received a text from the floor with Tom Madden in the top five and not David Grifftts. You look really happy and tired in your GA pose on the floor. Hey, thanks for all the hard work you have been doing for the “change” needed in the COG. This EC looks like a great start.

    Best

    Dennis

PS: Steve would choke on the mic so don’t fret (LOL)

  5. Dennis,
Choke? Choke?…no way man. I would bust out into some 80 hair band stuff and blow the GA away.

  6. Thanks for the update, I think this looks like a great EC, I know most of these men, and have confidence in all of them. David Griffis has been the AB in Tennesse and has done an awesome job. We are sad to see him go, however, he will be as great a blessing in Cleveland as he has been in Chattanooga.

Let’s keep praising God for His leadership, and praying that we continue to follow His leadership.

  7. Thank you Travis for taking time out to post this information!
